The Village of Chenequa is located in the “lake country” portion of Waukesha County, about 30 miles west of downtown Milwaukee. At the time of the 2010 census, Chenequa had a population of 590 residents.
Chenequa completely surrounds the 711-acre Pine Lake. Pine Lake has very clear water and has a maximum depth of 85 feet. This beautiful lake is the perfect spot for fishing as you can find Walleye, Pike, Bass, and Panfish in the crystal clear waters below. It’s also a great place to partake in some water sports or just relax in the sun. The Chenequa area is also home to many other lakes, including North, Beaver, Okauchee, and Moose Lakes. All of these lakes offer beautiful scenery that will ensure you want to come back for more.
In addition to the beautiful lakes there’s also a beautiful golf course at the Chenequa Country Club. This 18-hole, par 71 course is a great way to spend an afternoon while taking in some of the scenic views from the holes by Beaver Lake. The club also has very well maintained tennis courts and a private beach for it’s members.
