The Village of Merton is a cozy community located in the Lake Country area, twenty miles west of Milwaukee. Merton currently has a population of 3,346 residents who are proud to call Merton home.
The Merton Athletics Association offers both youth and children’s programs designed to keep you living an active lifestyle. Youth programs include baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, tumbling, and cheer. There are multiple different groups for kids of all ages, making it the perfect way to keep the kids busy during the summer. The adult programs include yoga, volleyball, and softball. The Merton Athletics Association also offers tournaments for softball and baseball that allows teams the opportunity to engage in some friendly competition and see who comes out on top.
The Merton area is home to a couple of golf courses that challenge golfers of all different skill levels. Ironwood Golf Course offers three different 9-hole courses that each require a unique style of play to master. Once you play a round of 9 on one of the three courses, you’ll be coming back to play another 9 soon after. Just to the north of Merton is Songbird Hills Golf Club. Measuring in at only 5,592 yards from the blue tees, this 18-hole course is shorter than most but makes up for it by using the natural slope of the hills and terrain to create an additional challenge. The Chenequa Country Club is out to the west and is a private course that offers some great views of Beaver Lake while you navigate an exceptionally beautiful course.
